FERTILE RHYTHMS

I collaborated with artists Scottie Burgess and Tiffany Matheson to create this sculpture for Pink Progression’s exhibition “Dearly Disillusioned” at the McNichols building in downtown Denver. We wanted to create a work that would celebrate the ever growing freedoms women have gained through collective activism and personal effort. We also sought to make a visual celebration of the feminine through domestic textures like yarn and floral imagery. Yet, the figure is still constrained showing how much room we have to develop as a society.
